GW Duncanson is making a special crossword edition cover for his hit sequential art book “extraordinary mezzanine” to debut at this Sunday’s Zinefeast. Proudly wearing his SUNY Purchase “beginnings” shirt from 1988, he’ll unscrupulously prey upon your school spirit in order to con you out of your parent’s shiny coinage. As the interest rates on many student loans are climbing up into the 8% range, this will be a great opportunity to at least take control of the means of evacuation of their wallets !
"The first time I stepped foot on the campus of Purchase about 25 years ago. I was 15 years old maybe. I had this friend Camarra who was my age, a black girl from my neighborhood who I skated with sometimes. We heard they had a launch ramp set up in the tunnels. She had a 40 year old boyfriend who looked exactly like Andrew Dice Clay. He drove us up in his classic car so we could skate there. He didn’t say a word the whole time and just leaned against things and smoked the cigarettes he kept rolled into his t-shit sleeve. I met a woman there, a student, who had a nose ring and my mind was blown. I wanted to kiss her. The tunnels were painted..bombed with graffiti and painted by art students. Man, that was my bag baby. Whipping around the corners at top speeds it was a real blast. Although we never found the launch ramp, it was the best late spring evening of my adolescent life." -GW

Along with a wide variety of prints and probably some earrings as well.
